Mr Mani, by A.B. Yehoshua, is a great book, is epic even.
It's the story of six generations, a family. Told in an exquisite way.
I know I could say more, but I cannot because the six stories are to be read and seen as a whole.
It was suggested by a workmate, thanks Pasquale, and from this truly remarkable work both my wife and I have read almost all A.B. Yehoshua production. This is probably his best.
Do not bother reading it if you are looking for an airport book.
AH, yes, he deserves the Nobel prize. NOW!
