Few days ago Paul Ritter (IMDB) passed away.
He was a great actor and it came to international fame for his outstanding award winning performance in Chernobyl.
He acted, majestically in several movie, and you may have even have a recollection of it, but I want to highlight here two of his best performances (aside from Chernobyl) that are probably very little known outside UK.
Friday Night Dinner (IMDB) is a very hilarious and light minded show. In it he is the father of a Jewish family (father, mother and two sons) which meets for the Friday night dinner in the parents house in the suburban London. he is so good in it that meanwhile all characters have their good share of funny moment, he really steals the scenes. Amazing show. The sixth season seemed to be the last. Now it is definitely clear there won't be a new one.
In 'The Game' (IMDB) instead, he does not have a main role, but he gives a significant performance in one of the most amazing spy show I have ever seen. Watch it.
