Our short take about the Oscar.
In everybody's mouth is the Kaluuya's note on her parents having sex and, obviously, how his mother reacted. American's puritan root is always there. We won't talk about that.
Instead here, even if we have not watched all movies in the list, we want to tell you that we are absolutely pleased about Nomadland and Anthony Hopkin's Oscars. The performance of the British actor was outstanding and his movie could have been the best picture if the director was slightly more audacious. Nomadland is indeed a masterpiece and we will review it a bit better than what we wrote here. Did Kaluuya deserved his Oscar, oh yes indeed, what about the actresses. Yes indeed they were absolutely superb.

It was a quality edition, the big blockbuster were left out and we appreciate this and probably only this of all covid effects.
One simple sad note. The performance of Sophia Loren in The Life Ahead was worthy not only the nomination but the overall Oscar. But the movie is not that good.
